The Hearing Education and Readiness (HEAR) Course

The Hearing Education and Readiness (HEAR) course provides recommendations on hearing loss prevention strategies and an overview of regulations and standards for Service members and DOD Civilians enrolled in a Hearing Conservation Program (HCP) as determined by their Service.

Service members must complete the Required Training and Scenario Exercise modules to receive credit. DOD Civilians must complete the Required Training module to receive credit.

Follow the steps below to run the course from your hard drive or other removable media.

- The link above will download a zipped copy of the course

- Completely unzip the contents of this package

- If necessary, relocate The Hearing Education and Readiness (HEAR) course folder to your hard drive or other removable media

- Right-click the index.html file

- Select Open with

- Select Internet Explorer

- If running from your computer, select "Allow Blocked Content" at the bottom of the screen

- If running from a CD, Select OK on the prompt that is displayed

Browser requirements:

- For best performance run course using IE 11 or Firefox
